I'm going off the Internet grid now, and staying off for the rest of 2009. It's my Christmas present to myself, because sometimes it's just nice to read a book. The videos of ridiculous things will survive without me.

In the meantime, I'm headed to a small island nation that my ancestors thoroughly ravaged centuries ago. The natives will consider my tourist dollars reparations, and greet me as a liberator. Life is fine, life is fine. Merry Christmas, happy new year.
